Myron Elmer "Max" Essex, DVM, PhD, is the Mary Woodard Lasker Professor of Health Sciences at Harvard University, Chair of the Harvard School of Public Health AIDS Initiative, and Chair of the Botswana–Harvard AIDS Institute in Gaborone, Botswana.

Prof Souleymane Mboup is the head of the Bacteriology Virology Department at the University Hospital Le Dantec, University of Dakar, Senegal.
