Synopsis
Diaspora Dreams makes a rather anticlimactic, but necessary, start as the persona, Kundai is entering England. From there on, a whirlwind appears to drive the story, and only during the last third of the book does it fast become surreal with an explosive revelation right at the end, which enthralls and shocks the reader. England becomes the fulcrum. This is the England of the Zimbabwean Diasporas. This aspect of the book could be its strongest point. There is a ready readership for this kind of story back in Zimbabwe and amongst the Zimbabwean Diaspora and immigrant communities across the world.
