The compelling, personal account of a crucial stage in Southern Rhodesia's unique history as a British colony. Returning from service in WW2, the author and other whites saw an opportunity to establish common ground between blacks and whites in politics. The story of their attempts to forge a new path, from the end of the war until the fall of Garfield Todd in 1958, make fascinating reading.
